NEW DELHI: government
has taken an initiative to clear the road for the tourist so that they can
enjoy and explore a beauty of India
by giving them Visa on arrivals to 40 countries by setting up an online application system for visa and visa on arrival for pensioners and for those who attending conferences.
by giving them Visa on arrivals to 40 countries by setting up an online application system for visa and visa on arrival for pensioners and for those who attending conferences.
Which means
overseas traveler would be able to avail a visa within a click and the citizens
of 40 countries like that of the US, the UK, Germany, France, Brazil, Russia
and China will get a visa on their arrivals which means you don’t have long foe
hassles beside that government have also given yes to lengthen VOA to travelers
who is above 60 and also agreed to cut down the days to create a visa and at
the same groups would be given a visa to be present at conference.
As said by
Rajeev shukla we need to change our behavior towards tourist who arrives from
overseas so as per the agreement a government has decided and agreed on the
same page as mentioned before.
The ministries
of tourism and home affairs are assigned with a task to prepare a roadmap and
for developing an infrastructure since it requires a large amount of work
force. And the visa on arrivals has also been enlisted to 11 countries
including Japan, New Zealand and Vietnam.he government
is directly observing the application systems assumed by Sri Lanka where only
electronic visas are issued for tourists on short visits.
An agreement was
shown by all the delegates of planning commission involved in a meeting of
Monday.
Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek
Singh Ahluwalia said to TOI we looking forward to build up a special visa
regime on which am going to write to the home minister stating a discussion and
a result of a meeting.
Meeting was
presided by a high level government official like national security advisor,
delegates from a office of prime minister, representatives of Intelligence
Bureau and ministers of external affairs, home and tourism graced the meeting.
As said by
Shukla a agreement was held on to abridge online visa system, relaxation for
those who arrives to held on conference and also for a pensioner and senior
citizen.
As per the
minister he said many old age and pensioner looks to visit India and for them
government has taken a decision to give a relaxation for a group and a
pensioner but execution of a decision is yet to be done because the home
ministry believes VOA could be enhance for an inclusion of other countries but
lack of staff is causing a trouble to work on a full force.
And as per the
concern of ministries are concern tourism ministry has said yes to split its
budget with the ministry of home affairs so that optimum numbers of executive
could be appointed in an immigration center who would distribute VOA to a
tourist said by Ahluwalia.One more
proposition was to bring down the figure of group of visas from the present 16
to just three -- employment, business and visitor.
And another
decision was to extend its distribution to other airports like that of Goa,
Gaya, Chandigarh and Amritsar where a large number of tourist lands after their
arrival.Right now a
facility is accessible at international airports of Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata,
Mumbai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
The step has
been taken after realizing that a tourism sector could well initiate and
abridge a current account deficit During 2012-13, CAD was at an all-time high
of 4.8% of GDP or $88.2 billion. Government proposes to bring it down to $70
billion or 3.8% of GDP.
Congress
vice-president Rahul Gandhi had also put up his view in regards to the same
with other high level officer in an account of the same.
In the year 2012
India earning from tourist arrival was $ 17.74 billion which showed an increase
of 7.1% year on year but the recent dolor less growth has really manipulated
the thing.
