Lusty Green Ambiance of Neora National Park, Kalimpong

Neora National Park, very few are aware regarding the virgin beauty of this place.
Established in 1986 this beautiful place is one of the charms of Kalimpong and its thick forest has really made Neora a gift of nature.

Neora National Park, which is a world heritage site of UNESCO, has the entire ambiance require making it eco tourism place and its sounding environment which is filled with thick forest and meadows of green is something you are going to witness only here at a site of Neora.

Stretched over an area of wonders it commands the perimeter of 89 sq.km and you can say this place has the richest Biosphere within the entire north east India.
Lived by endangered animals visit here would be a learning experience for you as you are going to witness amazing species of animals like Red Panda, musk, Deer, Leopards, sloth beer, gorals and many more.
In terms of flora this place has no match with other experiencing a beauty of tropical, sub-tropical, sub-temperate, and temperate vegetative system, Neora is home to many beautiful species of plants and trees, such as bamboo groves, rhododendrons, oak, ferns, Sal and many more.

As many of the site of park remains  untouched and its sounding altitude which ends at a height of 10,500 ft. is heaven for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
For ornithologists this place would serve all their interest to catch beauty of birds. As the wide variety of birds that shares their scope here so for bird watcher it’s an open invitation to catch a glimpse of some of the rare species. Several of the beautiful species are throated Partridge, Golden-throated Barbet, Crimson breasted Woodpecker, Darjeeling Pygmy Wren-Babbler, Wood pecker, Mountain Imperial Pigeon, Bay Wood peck and others.

Here even sun finds it hard to penetrate the core of thick jungle which is a hub to many wild life animals and its density and dimension has really made it brilliant. Due to its wide range of dense tropical forest, still the many site of the forest is inaccessible.

Trekkers would find this place amazing as an adulating hills covered with jungle would be a milestone task for them but still the site which has so much of organic beauty one would not love to miss an opportunity to trek towards the wonders of nature.

Silent in nature and pristine in origin the combination of these perfect natural words has built the bricks of Neora so while you leap into the hue of environment make sure to maintain silence.

Before you enter into the valley of Neora make sure to have permit from respective authority and make sure to walk in through directed ways because the vast area might excite you take a short cut which at end could cause you a hamper so follow the rules and regulation strictly to enjoy the splendor of nature.

Nearest railway station from here is New Jalpaiguri which is at distance of 90 km.

Nearest airport is Bagdogra which is approximately 91 km.
